This historic decision, after 43 years of our disastrous EU membership, will start the vital healing process of bringing back democratic control of our great country, back where it belongs with the British people.

The democratic decision of the British people to leave the EU, must be respected and accepted by all, so that we can move forward. Now that the fundamental question of who governs us has been settled, we must now as the United Kingdom come together.

We need to focus on making our soon to be again independent, democratic and self-governing nation, far more prosperous with a much brighter outlook for our future generations. No longer shackled to the economic corpse of the EU, its costly, excessive regulations, protectionist and anti-free trade agenda.

We will of course be free to continue trading with the economically stagnant EU market, but more importantly we will be free to arrange our own tailormade trade deals with the far more rapidly growing markets in the rest of the world, where most of our exports already go.

Finally I would like to thank my fantastic team of UKIP members and other eurosceptic supporters for all their hard work over the last few months.
