LETTER: True meaning of Easter

I found Mr Worley's letter (March 17) very interesting, but slightly inaccurate as regards both the availability of Easter eggs with information about the true meaning of Easter, and about the proclamation of the Easter message in the local churches.

There is an Easter egg made by Traidcraft and marketed as THE REAL EASTER EGG which can be found in some local shops, including Waitrose.

It has information on the box about why we share eggs at Easter, a pullout Easter story inside the box, plus egg and yummy bar.

As for the mentioning of the true meaning of Easter from the church, we at Rehoboth Baptist Church in New Street, Horsham, have been preparing to celebrate this most important of Christian festivals since the beginning of March with a series of sermons, leading up to Good Friday and Easter Sunday.

I am sure there are other churches that are also making preparations.

Perhaps you just need to know where to look!
