LETTER: Who is responsible for squandering our money?

Budgeted for £1m and it has spent half that, but nothing happened. In the next local election (for a Police and Crime Commissioner) LDC staff working on the election get paid a generous daily rate AND get a paid day off.

LDC does not spend its own money, it has none, it can only spend ours.

Councils, local and county, are stewards of our money; they have a duty to spend it carefully and productively, I see no sign that this happens.

Who is responsible for squandering our money on uncompleted projects and the double payment of council staff?
