LETTER: Why don't you use a car park?

I found the letter from DC Williams [Make All-Day Parkers Pay, March 11] incredibly childish and difficult to read. He himself drove round the block looking to park his car as all these others had done.

He has no idea or proof those parked cars had parked for the entire day or for half-an-hour so it was a pointless remark to make. ANY town has parking difficulties because people use cars. For people working in the town but not living locally the use of a car is the most popular mode of transport as it is for Mr Williams to JUST deliver something.

Rather than drive further away to park your vehicle, Mr Williams, can I suggest you do as others do and seek out a convenient space in nearby car parks at either the Enterprise Centre or station – both being nearer to your block of offices you needed to visit than where you did park. Or even a bus ride into town as you thoughtfully suggested for the ‘parkers’.

Stop moaning and become part of the solution not the problem.
