LETTERS: Hotel's great improvement

I feel I must write regarding the ongoing dispute with The East Beach Hotel. Have any of the town planners availed themselves of a walk along the seafront from Princes Park to the pier?

I think not, otherwise they would, like my husband and myself do a number of times each week, see there is so much that needs and should be done, to make other owners and residents improve their properties.

It seems to me a lack of interest in making their own space a pleasure to see. Of course some are owned by the council. Close by the nursery school used to be The Beach pub ... their colours! When you reach The Langham it is a delight to see, but then we return to the usual.

I will not mention the rear of hotels, as it is the seafront which is the point of this letter, and request the council reconsider.

Cannot more members visit and see for themselves what an improvement The East Beach is?
