A healthier district

Horsham District Council’s Wellbeing team will be manning a stand in the foyer of Tesco’s superstore at Broadbridge Heath on Fridays and Mondays from 11 July to 29 August to promote healthier eating in the district.

The Wellbeing team will be working in conjunction with the national Change4Life campaign to provide advice and support on making healthier food choices.

A broad range of advice and tips will be on offer including the opportunity for shoppers to create their own healthy smoothie on the “smoothie- maker” bicycle which will be available to test.

The Wellbeing team will be on hand to provide details on the many free services available to Horsham district residents including weight management courses, supermarket tours and 1 to 1 Wellbeing MOTs.

Commenting on the promotion, Cabinet Member for a Safer and Healthier District Cllr. Sue Rogers said:

“I am delighted that such a major organisation as Tesco has agreed to work together with us by providing the ideal location to showcase all the great healthy eating services we have on offer.”
