A little bit of help

I JUST wanted to say a big thank-you to the Wickbourne Centre for the craft classes it offers.

Every Friday morning people have the chance to come along and learn a craft free of charge.

I, and a few other ladies, have been attending the sewing classes.

I'm sure I am not the only one to have been affected by the credit crunch and so decided to try learning to sew as a way of saving money on clothes for my little girls.

Believe me when I say that, at the start, I had no confidence and could not sew a straight line, but thanks to the patience and teaching skills of the ladies there, I have now made an apron and am in the middle of making a baby's changing bag.

If there is anyone out there like me who feels that this sort of thing is beyond them, I urge them to give our craft class a try.

They have said that if enough people are interested they will offer lots of different classes, as well as the knitting, sewing, quilting classes that are on offer now.

So come on, ladies and gents, get yourself down to the Wickbourne Centre on Fridays at 9.30am and give it a go.
