A question on Eastbourne’s new bin collections

I have recently been onto the council regarding their two weekly collections.

My husband has a stoma and therefore we have medical waste to deposit in our bin. I have explained this to them and they have suggested a larger bin, for which I am still waiting.

My concern is the summer months when we are supposed to be having a heatwave.

How can they expect us to contain the smell which will inevitably come from the bin if we don’t have a weekly collection?

I don’t suppose for one moment he is the only one in the borough with this complaint. How on earth are they expecting us to all cope with this problem on a fortnightly basis?

Please ask them to advise I and people in the same position would like an answer.
