Abundance of free fruit appreciated
PLEASE may I use your pages to thank all the generous and thoughtful people who have been leaving apples and pears outside their homes, sometimes with a note, saying "Help yourself"?
It must have been a bumper crop this year and I know that many people who live in flats, people on low incomes and lots of mums with small children, have been enjoying them.
