Adult summer language courses

Travelling will naturally be at the top of the agenda for many parents this summer, and this may include opportunities to talk to the locals in their own language, whether it is checking in at the hotel, drinking in the bar, ordering food in cafés and restaurants or shopping in the market.

For all these scenarios you need the right vocabulary and the right phrases, and some confidence to pull it all off!

So if you would like to not have to rely on your children or someone else in the group this year, there is a unique and exciting adult education opportunity in languages taking place at Farlington in July and August.

“I am delighted to launch these courses at Farlington,” said Mr Walker-Smith, “not least because parents tell me so many times that they wish they had the opportunity to learn languages when they were at school in the fun way they are learned these days. The courses will be relevant, entertaining and are suitable for complete beginners or those with just a few words or phrases.”

So whether you would like to brush up an old language or experiment with a new one, contact [email protected] for more details, including dates and a registration form. These courses are open to the public and course fees are £100 per learner.
