Affordable homes welcomed at Salts Farm development in Shoreham

I am writing in support of Hyde Homes plans to develop New Salts Farm to the south and west of Shoreham airport.

This unremarkable area of land has been successfully assessed with regards both flooding issues and access and is ripe for development. Critical to the proposal is that 30% of the the new stock will be set aside as affordable housing. The younger generation are being priced out of the housing market with buy to let and greedy landlords driving up house prices. Schemes like this offer people a chance to get a foot on the property ladder, something many of us have always taken for granted, and we owe it to them to back this exciting proposal.
