Another idea...
Perhaps we could kill two birds with one stone by incorporating Long Furlong into the A27 Worthing bypass improvements?
A scheme involving Long Furlong and joining up with the A283 Steyning bypass would not only solve the dangerous problems of Long Furlong, but would avoid the potential nightmare of having a motorway going through a residential area, which is the reality of the proposed A27 widening through Worthing.
