Arms opened

COMMUNITY spirit was the theme of the Arundel Festival 2012.

For 10 days, the town of Arundel opened its arms to welcome locals and visitors alike to an array of music, entertainment, drama and art.

The festival is organised by volunteers and is a registered charity, so with this as our foundation, we must thank all the other charities and volunteer groups that worked with us so successfully this year.

Thanks must also go to our sponsors and donors, without whom the festival would not be possible. This year we were especially lucky to attract donations, not just financially, but through people’s time and resources.

We aimed to deliver a programme of events that appealed to all. There will, of course, now be a dialogue with the community on how we can improve any elements of the festival. In order to start this dialogue early for next year, the annual meeting will be held earlier than usual, at the end of October.

We are also looking for volunteers to strengthen our team, and to take the festival forward, so please come to the meeting if you wish to put yourself or someone else forward. Please see www.arundelfestival.co.uk for confirmation of date and venue.
