Attention all EU referendum postal voters

Unless you are able to get to the polling station on June 23, you will have to register in advance to have a postal vote for the referendum.

Please get an application form by calling 0800 3280 280 or on line at www.aboutmyvote.co.uk. The deadline is June 8. The same is true for proxy votes. This information is in the Referendum Voting Guide that has come to all households, but how many of us have bothered to read it? At the risk of seeming paranoid, this seems an unnecessary complication designed to thwart the voting of elderly people, the majority of whom would vote NO.
