I have had to pay the sum of a good holiday to get a diagnosis, sending blood to the US. The GP did not know anything about Lyme, and the blood sample sent to Porton Down testing lab was inconclusive, presumed negative!

The consultant says I have Polymyalgia Rheumatica. . . I wonder why his clinic is so busy with a four-month waiting list. If you don’t know about Lyme, I recommend you Google it. Be prepared for a shock!

The guidelines for treatment in this country are totally inadequate and many, many people are being treated for other vague illnesses, which Lyme mimics, but are not getting better.

I know of one other person in Littlehampton with Lyme but guarantee there are many of you struggling alone.

This is Lyme Awareness Month, so please get in touch.
