The Sussex University of the Third Age network, also known as SUN, organised the festival at Burgess Hill School for Girls in Burgess Hill.

Musicians drawn from U3A clubs played instruments that included handbells, piano, guitar, ukulele, bamboo pipes, and mandolin. There were also turns by choirs.

The U3A is a national learning organisation open to all retired and semi-retired people.
