I write in support of the letter by David Walker (January 14). Teville Gate would make an excellent bus station for Stage Coach, National Express and coach park plus a residential development and shops all under cover.

Then the Stage Coach area could be an undercover mall right on the beach front, wonderful for when the wind blows.

The Montague site functions well now, so why change it? The wind whistles up Montague Place now so why change the area for more cafes and loose the parking, especially the disabled parking which is there. And how are the delivery vans going to deliver?
