Billingshurst & District Lions Club Annual Charity Golf Day

This year’s event was run in aid of the Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance. 60 players entered in teams of four, they were rewarded with a fine breezy day with firm fast-running ground.

The winning team (see photograph) were four members of the West Sussex Golf Club.

There were additional prizes for the best individual, Lucas Smith from TSO Services in Wisborough Green, and a number of ‘nearest the pin’ competitions.

After dinner a raffle and auction were held which contributed towards a total of £3,800 being raised for this most worthwhile of charities. The Club wishes to thank all our sponsors, prize-givers and the players for their support.

The money raised will be added to the £150,000 already donated by Lions Clubs from across the south-east towards their target of £250,000 towards the introduction of night flying operations in the South-East of England, this includes.”
