Bishop visits Horsham school

Bishop Kieran Conry visited St Robert Southwell Catholic Primary School in Horsham on Thursday July 10 to celebrate a Mass of Thanksgiving to mark the retirement of Mrs Susan Pirie the Religious Education Coordinator.

Bishop Kieran also blessed the new freestanding library and outdoor classroom.

The school wished to acknowledge Mrs Pirie’s outstanding service to Catholic education over thirty seven years. During her fourteen years at St Robert Southwell Mrs Pirie has contributed to the outstanding, leadership and management of the Catholic life of the school and has been inspirational in developing an innovative curriculum.

Families and governors joined the whole school community to celebrate the outdoor mass. This event was followed by a lovely picnic lunch and an afternoon of activities.
