Blown away by community kindness

I WOULD just like to write to update you on the subject of my son and his stolen snowman, which you featured in the Gazette (January 14).

People have been so kind, really restoring my faith in human nature and community spirit.

F.A.Holland & Son Funeral Directors, in Terminus Road, Littlehampton, came to the house that same day with a bag full of goodies and treats for Joshua.

They also bought him a new scarf (plus a hat and gloves) to replace the one that was taken with the snowman.

They are arranging for him to go and visit them to see their fleet of cars (he has been car-mad since the age of three) and to take him out in their limousine.

I would also like to thank the gentleman who called in to the Gazette with information on a scarf that might possibly be Joshua's. It wasn't, but we sincerely appreciate the thought.

To all those who have been so kind and who have left so many lovely messages for us, I would just like to say thank you.

Joshua has been overwhelmed at how lovely people can be, which more than makes up for the sad event which precipitated this.
