Bring colour to Bexhill’s beach huts

RDC must surely be the only local authority in the country still requiring all beach huts to be painted in a uniform white.

Other seaside towns allow huts to be painted in a bright variety of colours adding a touch of gaiety to the seaside scene. RDC’s planning requirements go back decades.

Would it not be possible to bring them into the 21st Century and give hut owners/licensees some freedom of choice?
