Two teams from Rodborough and Broadwater School students competed against Glebelands students for the 2015 winning title.

Year 9 students were asked to work in teams of 2 and given the brief “Wimbledon: A British inspired, three course menu for the royals attending’. Students had to produce their own British inspired, three course menu for the royals attending the tournament.

The menus served ranged from salmon encroute, scallops and mushy peas, asparagus wrapped in parma ham, handmade salmon tagliatelle, strawberry trifle, cloud cake and ‘the Queen of desserts’ to name just a few.

This year our judges were Richard Graham (One Forty, Cranleigh); Bev Lock (Caterlink Area Manager and Tom Cornwell (Celebration Cakes, Cranleigh).

The quality of food was outstanding and the judges had a hard time choosing the winners. In third place was Luke George and Cieran Lynch (Glebelands); second place was Ben Barnett and Paul Ellis (Broadwater); the overall winning team were Hannah Moore and Polly Chapman (Rodborough). Well done to all the participants and the winning team for their delicious menu.
