Bullying tactic in battlefield argument

I read with dismay Mr Golding’s letter in the last week’s Observer. It was a shocking outpouring of personal bile. If one disagrees with someone else’s hypothesis, then articulate your counter-arguments, if you can. Don’t denigrate the integrity of the other person. That is just shameful bullying.
