Bullying victim penalised again '“ over school transport costs

IN response to your article "Faith school transport fees branded a disgrace", I would like to add my story.

My daughter was bullied at her local school.

When the teachers and the headmistress failed to deal with the problem, I was forced to find another school for my daughter.

The closest school I could find that had a space free was Felpham Community College.

Because my husband and I both work, my daughter has to take public transport, this costs us 576 a year which is two to three times the amount that parents of children at faith schools will soon have to pay.

I agree that it is a lot of money that they have to pay but spare a thought for all of us parents who can't afford to send our children to church schools as we have to pay a lot more.

What's more, if my daughter had been the trouble-maker and been expelled, her transport fees would be paid because it would have been the school's choice to move her and not mine.
