Burning issue

Last Monday, June 23, the weather was absolutely glorious and lots of people had washing out and windows open.

Then someone in the Chaucer Avenue area thought it would be a good idea to have a bonfire and stink everybody out. Consequently, washing had to be taken in and windows shut, thereby bringing a very pleasant morning in the garden to an end. The normal rules state that bonfires can be lit after 6pm and we would be grateful, if, through the Gazette, you could make people aware of this.
