Can I break coronavirus restrictions in a limited and specific way?

Well, well.

After months of confusing messages and u-turns on the part of the government with respect as to how we are supposed to behave in response to the Corona pandemic (notably recently with regard to international travel), we have finally got a very clear and unambiguous message from Boris: namely that it is quite okay to break the law ‘in a limited and specific way’.

I am busy weighing up the possibilities that this opens for me in my future actions.

Could I stop paying my Council Tax for a month, or not bother to arrange my MOT or not pay the BBC licence fee?

Or maybe I can travel to Holland to visit my daughter and not bother to socially isolate when I return to the UK.

Stimulating. Nice to know that I will have full government support in whichever specific and limited action that I choose to adopt.
