To the result I would simply paraphrase the Verger’s wife in Dad’s Army when reacting in despair to a squabbling Warmington-on-Sea committee meeting: “Can we please get on with it?”

The referendum surely made clear that Britons have tired of politically orchestrated spin, scaremongery and prophesies of economic doom, yet in Nick Perry declaring the Lib Dems will again stand on a pro-EU ticket (1/7/16) he forgets that such policy reduced their 11 MEPs to one and 57 MPs to eight.

Meanwhile, Cllr Sue Prochak, her fellow Lib Dems (indeed all political parties) must chose between protecting our AONBs through sustainable population growth or allow the wilful destruction of England’s green and pleasant land through uncontrolled population growth, with its necessary infrastructure, to satisfy their political ideologies.

Currently up to half of new-builds are required to accommodate immigration growth alone with the Lib Dems demanding three new cities in our over-crowded South East. Enough!
