Change in policy?

THE Courtwick planning application was heard on July 13 and appears to have been agreed subject to a deferment for further consultation on traffic implications, with regard to Courtwick Lane becoming a secondary access to the 600 proposed homes.

In the meantime, I and other residents are at a loss to know why, in everyone’s full knowledge, councillors voted for a departure from the local development plan.

Departure from the local development plan was a reason given then the development control committee refused permission for a large development at Yapton.

If Arun’s development plan is relevant to one parish, why not to another?

Has policy changed in the intervening weeks?

How can we ensure that councillors will have an opportunity to discuss and agree/disagree with any change?
