Charge to roam from my home when Brexit is done?

In Fairlight and Hastings my mobile phone sometimes connects to the French mast rather than the local one.

At present no additional charges are incurred and I had thought the phone companies had promised to keep it that way after the EU transitional agreement ends.

Today our government warns us of increased roaming charges from the end of this year.

This is a trap for the unwary. We need to remember to switch off roaming on our phones.

I see no reason why our government cannot negotiate to continue the existing arrangement.

That comment applies even more strongly to the reciprocal healthcare agreement, which we are now told we shall lose.

None of these difficulties seem necessary, whether you are a remainer or a leaver. Our government must not let us down.
