Charity golf day is a success

Friends of Horsham Oxfam organised the event and made over £1,800 to help the valuable and much needed work Oxfam carries out across the world. A big thank you goes to all the golfers, sponsors and helpers.

Gill Bence, representing the Oxfam Group, spoke to the golfers about the Oxfam shop in the Carfax that will celebrate 25 years on that site this year and paid tribute to the loyal supporters who volunteer in the shop. The bookshop is an essential part of their fundraising and a lot of time is taken to ensure that donations are valued appropriately.
