Another nail in the coffin of a local service is about to take place.

I read that the local Lloyd’s Pharmacy In Bexhill-On-Sea Old Town is to close.

This pharmacy serves most of the people who visit the Old Town surgery and many others, very rarely have I been to the pharmacy with out there being a queue, this pharmacy has in the last few years been completely refurbished.

Peterhouse residents and Bishop Gardens residents, both retirement developments, and the many blocks of flats, and homes in the area, will find getting to another pharmacy extremely difficult as it will mean a bus or taxi journey and then a wait in a queue, if you are feeling unwell this is not always possible.

I urge Lloyd’s to think again and not to close the pharmacy and to think of a service to the community and NOT profit.
