This time it was the turn of the Salvation Army to receive another cheque for £5000 towards the cost of running their Hope In social care project. A second cheque for £1000 was presented to the ARK charity for its work among homeless and unemployed persons in Horsham.

Lisa Burrell from The Ark said, ”We are so thankful to Chloe’s for this donation. We will be purchasing some much needed equipment so that we are able to help local disadvantaged people to access the websites that they need to further their search for jobs, prepare CV’s, and enquire about benefits claims.”

Major Iain Stewart, Corps Officer at the Horsham Salvation Army said “We are very grateful for the financial and practical support we receive from CHLOES. This enables us to help many needy individuals and families in Horsham every week through the work of our Hope In community programme. Without this kind of support we would certainly struggle to continue our ongoing work with some of the neediest members of our community.”

Vida Lyne, Manager and a Trustee of Chloe’s (Horsham) said that the success of Chloe’s would not have been possible without the support of the Horsham community. People who donate items, and customers who buy goods from Chloe’s make it possible for us to help others, she said. Mrs Lyne expressed her grateful thanks to all the many volunteers who work at Chloe’s (Horsham), and the Board of Directors, whose passion it is to make a difference to those less fortunate than them in our local community. The Charity could not continue without this ongoing support.
