Circus speaking for most of us

How very refreshing to see Philip Circus’ views (County Times March 7) on the current situation. I think he says exactly what most of us think and want. For too long we have been paying too much attention to minority pressure groups and not enough to the needs of the majority.

I think part of the problem is that we do not have enough real

experience in government. Too many of our elected representatives act as politicians, ever reacting to sound bites, rather than as statesmen, acting for the good of the country.

There is no point in David Holmes or David Hyde telling us how much better their parties will, or are doing.

The Lib Dems are in freefall, haemorrhaging their voters and Labour are the cause of most of our current problems under the misrule of Miliband, Balls, Blair and Brown.

UKIP is just a hollow drum banging on about two or three issues and with no policies on anything else.

The core issues most voters want action on are; stability, decent education and health services; a long term transport plan and a reduction in government waste.

We want to see Europe sorted out by keeping the best; trade, common action etc, and ditching the worst; agriculture and fishing policies.

This is very simply called common sense and it is about time we started using it.
