Claremont Hotel road closure is having a devastating effect on Eastbourne

I walked past the old Claremont Hotel yesterday and again today: not a workman in sight, diggers sitting idle.

It’s now over three months since the fire. The road closure is having a devastating impact on other hotels along the seafront, town centre shops and local residents, yet there seems to be no sense of urgency to get the road reopened, and no communication. Please tell us what is going on and why it is taking so long.
