Coach company uses car park as depot

The motorists are being penalised heavily for car park charges and the proposed increases by RDC.

For the benefit of tourists to the town I agree that coach parking should continue to be provided free of charge but I have noted that this facility is being totally abused by a St Leonards coach company who occupy two parking bays on a permanent basis and are hardly ever moved.

This has been the case throughout the summer season so much so tourist coaches have been forced to move on or park backing on to the recycling bins as low down as the school, causing a hazard.

It is obvious that this firm is using the car park as a ‘parking depot’ and in my opinion should cease forthwith.
