Collyer’s adult students achieve record breaking Spanish results

The ‘4 As’ centre at Collyer’s announced this week that their Adult Learning Spanish GCSE class have achieved a record breaking 9 A* grades and 4 A grades.

Their teacher, Milagros Herguedas, was thrilled with the news: “The students worked exceptionally hard, both during and outside of the weekly 2 hour lesson. We are incredibly proud of their deserved success”.

Perrine Hernandez achieved 295 marks and Sally-Ann McCormack achieved 289 out of the maximum 300. Perrine and Sally-Ann have been nominated as Collyer’s Adult Learners of the year.

Many of the successful students have returned to Collyer’s this term to continue their Spanish studies to Advanced Level. This is a 2 hour class for those who have the GCSE and want to keep up and improve their written and spoken language. Collyer’s offer the classes in Italian, Spanish and French.

The College of Richard Collyer is a sixth form college with approximately 1,600 full-time 16-18 students and 500 adult education evening students. As a top performing institution, Collyer’s has Beacon status and enjoys an “Outstanding” rating from Ofsted.
