Congratulations on bonfire
Unfortunately, I had opted to purchase tickets (£15 per head) to the West Beach Cafe, who had promised “a gigantic marquee, and a comfy seat” to view the firework display.
A (below par, only one choice of fish) fish ’n’ chip dinner was also included, along with one free drink.

Hide AdThe marquee was a small tent, the comfy seat was a patio chair balanced on shingle and there were no extra toilet facilities provided. One had to stumble in the dark with a borrowed torch and 20p to use the public toilets, a journey which my female companion felt vulnerable completing.
A complete rip-off, without adequate lighting.
This was an appalling example of cashing in on the wonderful evening put on by the bonfire society.
