Congratulations to all involved

Pack of Lies, the latest production at the Stables, was gripping.

Set in 1960 and based on a true story the tension gradually rises as the Jackson family find their house taken over by MI5 watching their neighbours and friends the Krogers.

Barbara Jackson, played by Mary Campbell, is the unwitting victim, torn by having to choose between her friends and national security.

Sally Ann Lycett played a marvellous Helen Kroger, keeping her American accent throughout. Philip Blurton as Mr Stewart was scarily impressive, charming and genial, then turning ruthless in a word.

This play relied on it’s actors and the script to keep the suspense and plot moving. No special effects, no violence, no tricks.

Congratulations to all the cast and crew and thank you for a memorable performance.
