Council is meant to be for the people

The council is supposed to be run for the benefit of the people, not as a dictatorship.

It is quite obvious that the consultants Arun engaged at great public expense for its leisure strategy were given a conclusion to work to and justified right from the start.

The supposed public consultation was simply a deception to let people think their views mattered. Given this situation, it is very surprising that the outcry has been so low key, both from the public and from the press.

Equally alarming is Dr Walsh’s statement in his letter about the Littlehampton Hospital site and, yes, what will happen in two years’ time.
