Country faces a greater battle

Just hours after the historic vote to leave the EU, our country faces an even greater battle.

While most of my fellow leave voters are still celebrating, only a few seem to realise what has happened.

The Prime Minister has pushed the PAUSE button.

He will step down in October when a new person is elected by the Conservatives.

For well over three months there will be no action on withdrawing from the EU, article 50 of the Lisbon treaty will not be activated to begin withdrawal negotiations.

This should worry all voters, not just those on the winning leave side.

The democracy of this country is at stake. One man can decide not to do what has been the will of the majority of voters.

You may say - as long as it is done eventually who cares?

This is my greatest fear, that the remain group are stalling for time and will find a way to never implement the decision.

All voters should fear the end of democracy in Britain, even if it means what they wanted actually happens.
