Jigsaw Trust educates and supports children and adults with an autism spectrum disorder and Jigsaw ARTWorks is one of the Trust’s social enterprise projects set up to provide an outlet for a variety of art-based projects and opportunities.

“Our Club has forged a terrific bond with Jigsaw over the years and it is one of the many causes our members really enjoy being able to support,” said David Gill, president of the Rotary Club of Cranleigh.

“This money will be used to help purchase some secure onsite storage units for the wide range of textiles and materials used within the ARTWorks enterprise.

“We all very much look forward to seeing more of the wonderful artwork produced by Jigsaw’s young adults!”

The transition from school to adulthood is particularly challenging for young adults with autism and to help with this, Jigsaw Trust, through the ‘Jigsaw+ Centre for Lifelong Learning’, has developed a safe, autism-friendly environment, offering a wide range of social enterprise and vocational training opportunities which encourage the development of essential life skills to help with this transition.

Jigsaw ARTWorks has its own website, www.jigsawartworks.co.uk, where works of art are available to purchase as limited edition canvas/prints.

Jigsaw Trust Executive Head, Kate Grant said, “Local supporters, such as the Rotary Club of Cranleigh, are enormously important to us here at Jigsaw Trust and we are very grateful to them for supporting one of our newer adult service enterprises, Jigsaw ARTWorks.

Thanks to them we will be able to purchase some safe and specific storage allowing us to keep a wider variety of equipment and materials on site for our young adults to use.”
