Disagree with split

Whilst I appreciate that the new community centre, on the Southfields Recreation Ground, needs to be utilised, it seems a shame to destroy an occasion that all walks of life can enjoy together and learn about what goes on in Littlehampton. It is an opportunity to admire the efforts of young and old.

I understand the number of entries to the show has increased to record levels – I wonder how many of those were people who happened to stumble upon the show and realised anyone can take part.

I did just that and now really enjoy being part of a Littlehampton event.

There seems to be a suggestion that only allotment holders are against the change – why not ask the people who attend this year’s event and see what the general public would like?
