Diving success for Anna
Anna Wilson in Farlington’s Prep 6 attended the National Diving Skills Finals at Ponds Forge International Sports Centre, Sheffield on 3rd and 4th May.
Anna, who only took up diving eight months ago, was aiming for a top 20 position but exceeded expectations and came a superb 15th out of 41 11-year old girls. Her group comprised 70 girls but they were split into 2 groups, 11-year olds and 10-year olds.
She dived consistently across the 12 dives she had to complete: the 3m and 1m boards and. Being 15th in England at this level is something to be proud of, especially as she only took up the sport in September. She will now be entered in the Talent Games in November.
