Don’t be afraid to cuddle your teddy bear if you live alone

In common with most of your readers , I look forward to my daily walk.

I try to vary the route, one day turning right out of the driveway and the next day left.

Today as I walked along Ashburnham Gardens, to my delight I came upon various sizes and styles of teddy bears displayed in the windows of nearly every property.

There was even a rather large one sitting in the driver’s seat of a parked car, I had to look twice!

In these troubling times, the teddies offered me some comfort, as teddy bears did in our childhoods and I want to say thank you to the residents for such a lovely gesture.

I must admit that I have taken to cuddling my own teddy bear who normally sits on my bed for decorative purposes only, as the thing I miss most during this enforced lockdown are the hugs and embraces from family and friends.

So if you live alone and no matter how “grown up” you are, give your teddy or any soft toy a cuddle.
