Don't waste this chance for town

This is a very exciting time for Bexhill. Finally we have a chance to see a form of local governance for our town.

Currently the governance review that is taking place under the direction of Rother District Council is well on its way.

Those of you who feel that Bexhill should have the same opportunities and decision making ability as Battle and Rye who have a town council, or wish we could have an area committee - there are other options to consider too - after all we do have half the people who live in Rother living in Bexhill.

If you have not already done so I would recommend you register online or collect a form from the town hall to express your interest .

I am aware from phone calls received that some of you are a little confused and would value some help with information on how to fill in the form. D4B ( Democracy for Bexhill) is delighted to announce that it has a shop in Western Road (it was called Presence) which is open from 10am until 4pm where you will find some lovely friendly non-political people who will be glad to help in any way possible.

I urge you all not to waste this one real chance to see change. As an elected Independent Councillor for Collington Ward, along with my colleague Cllr Doug Oliver, we found when meeting so many of you on the doorstep, a real interest in having true democracy for this beautiful town of Bexhill. This can only happen with your participation.

Don’t miss out on all the latest breaking news where you live.
