Drop your speed for kids’ sake
This is a plea to all drivers travelling on the A265 through Etchingham.
The new school at the West end of the village is now complete and in use.
The speed limit signs have been altered at both ends of the area which passes the school. Unfortunately, it is increasingly clear that a large number of motorists have not noticed this alteration or the school signs and are still speeding along this stretch of the road anywhere between 30 and 55 miles per hour.
It will add immensely to the safety of the parents and children if ALL drivers, whilst passing the school, slow down to the correct speed, ie 30 miles an hour.
