Eastboune council tax raise is selfish in these times

In the same week that fortnightly bin collections are announced there is a rise in council tax.

People have lost their jobs or on 80 per cent of their wages, so to then raise in the amount they have to pay out is crass and really uncaring.

The bins going out fortnightly will be a disaster.

I have a young daughter still in nappies and I can imagine the smell in the summer and feel for those who rely on incontinence products such as pads and ostomy bags who will have products lingering in the bins, without yellow hazardous waste collection.

Seriously what planet are Eastbourne Borough Council on?
