Explore Downs in walks festival

TO celebrate the National Park decision, the South Downs Society is running a Festival of Walks from May 13 until the end of July.All your readers are invited to come along.

More than 20 walks are on offer, of varying lengths, throughout our beautiful National Park area.

All are free, just bring a drink and a coat, and wear sturdy footwear.

Not only is the festival a great way to see first hand some of the very best landscapes in the country, it's also a deeply satisfying opportunity to celebrate the news.

The support for the National Park has been overwhelming. Many thousands of people signed petitions, and more than 150 organisations joined together, under the umbrella of the South Downs Campaign, to make the widest National Park a reality.
