The fantastic week long programme of trips and activities celebrates the end of the academic year and gives pupils a chance to have some fun before they get settled into the new school year.

“Learning outside the classroom, developing new skills and gaining life experiences is an extremely important part of school life here at Forest and none more than during our annual challenge week” said Ian Tomkins, Assistant Headteacher.

“We start our new school year on July 1st, so that boys are fully settled into their studies by the time they come back in September. Challenge Week is a great way to celebrate the end of the school year and a chance for the whole school to come together” added Mr Tomkins.

Boys had the opportunity to travel overseas on trips that included a sports tour to Salou, a history trip to Berlin, a 4 Countries Creative Arts Tour, a maths trip to Paris and an adventure trip to the Ardeche.

For those who stayed closer to home the activities included science and engineering themed trips to Chessington World of Adventure, a day out and about in Horsham and an English trip to Hastings.

There were also plenty of great things going on in school with Year 7 pupils taking part in the Magistrates led crime diversion day ‘Your Life, You Choose Day’ and a Bronze Arts Award programme that involved dance, drama, music and art as well as a performance at the WSCT Youth Awards evening.
