Fed up with Rye’s ‘store wars’ saga

This battle, bordering on childish, has been going on far too long.

I really do not mind who gets the site, just as long as someone does.

The people of Rye want and need another supermarket. It is long overdue.

Can the powers that be not award the site to the company that made the first purchase? Or alternatively put a compulsory purchase order on them both for the land that they own and offer the whole site to Waitrose?
